Capabilities

Omnichannel marketing, from first touch to conversion

Plan, send and measure broadcast campaigns and automated journeys from one place, on the channels your customers have agreed to hear from you on.

Audience segments

Build segments from tags, profile attributes, conversation history and events, synced from your CRM or CDP or imported by CSV.

Consent and opt-out

Capture opt-in with its source and timestamp, honor opt-outs across campaigns as soon as they are recorded and keep consent separate for each channel.

Rich, personalized templates

Approved templates with images, video, documents, buttons, carousels and product messages from your catalog, personalized with variables.

Scheduling and quiet hours

Schedule sends, deliver in each recipient's time zone, throttle volume and block sends during quiet hours you define.

Event-triggered journeys

Start automated journeys when a cart is abandoned, an order ships or a payment falls due, with branching, delays and exit goals.

A/B testing

Test copy, media, offers and send times on a sample, then roll the winning variant out to the rest of the segment.

Click-to-WhatsApp ads

Turn Facebook and Instagram ad clicks into WhatsApp conversations, then qualify, route or automate the follow-up and attribute results to the ad.

Channel fallback Coming soon

If a customer can't be reached on WhatsApp, journeys will fall back to SMS, email or RCS from the same journey, where you have consent.

Campaign analytics

Track delivered, read, clicked, replied, converted for every campaign and journey step, with cost estimates prepared with our team during onboarding.

Journey automation

Customer journey automation that reacts in real time

Journeys listen for events from your store, billing system or CRM and respond with the right message on the right channel. They branch on what the customer does, wait for the right moment and stop as soon as the goal is reached.

  • Triggers from API events, webhooks, segment entry, ad clicks or date attributes
  • Branches based on replies, clicks, purchases and profile data
  • Delays, wait-until conditions and exit goals
  • Channel fallback when WhatsApp delivery fails Coming soon
  • Frequency caps across campaigns and journeys to avoid over-messaging

Audiences & consent

Bulk WhatsApp messaging, done with consent

WhatsApp is a personal channel. Meta requires businesses to collect opt-in before messaging people, to honor opt-out requests and to keep message quality high. CommLeap provides tools to help you meet these requirements; you remain responsible for your consent practices and message content.

Segments that stay current

Audiences update as customer data changes, so a campaign targets the people who fit its criteria at send time.

  • Tags and custom profile attributes
  • Behavioral events and purchase history
  • CRM and CDP sync through the API or connectors
  • CSV import with field mapping and validation

Consent you can demonstrate

Each contact carries a consent record per channel, and sends check it first.

  • Opt-in capture from forms, checkout and chat, including Click-to-WhatsApp ad conversations
  • Source and timestamp stored for each opt-in
  • One-tap opt-out buttons and keyword handling
  • Automatic suppression across marketing campaigns and journeys

Relevance matters on WhatsApp

Meta enforces quality standards on marketing messages and may limit how many marketing messages a person receives from businesses over a given period, so some sends may not be delivered. Templates that attract blocks or reports can be paused. Consent, targeting and frequency controls help protect your delivery and your number's quality rating. Lifecycle journeys

Journeys for every stage of the customer lifecycle

Start from a common pattern and adapt it to your data, offers and brand voice. Each journey can span WhatsApp, SMS and email, with RCS Coming soon.

Abandoned cart

Remind shoppers what they left behind with a product message, and follow up with an incentive only if they don't return.

Order and delivery

Confirm orders, share dispatch and delivery updates, and invite a review once the parcel arrives.

Payment due

Send reminders before and after a due date with a secure payment link and a route to an agent for payment arrangements.

Renewal

Prompt policy, subscription or contract renewals ahead of expiry, with options to renew, upgrade or talk to someone.

Win-back

Re-engage lapsed customers with a relevant offer, and stop promotional messages if they show no interest.

Onboarding

Welcome new customers, collect preferences with WhatsApp Flows and guide them to their first successful action.

Transactional updates such as order and payment notices are generally sent as utility templates, and promotional steps as marketing templates. Meta validates the category during template review and may update the category of approved templates later, and categories are priced differently. See WhatsApp API pricing explained.

Analytics

Campaign analytics from delivery to revenue

Every campaign and journey step reports the full funnel, so you can see where attention drops off and, with our team, estimate what each result costs.

  • Delivered: messages that reached the recipient's device
  • Read: messages reported as read; read status is not available for every recipient, so treat it as an indicator
  • Clicked: taps on URL and call-to-action buttons, tracked per button
  • Replied: quick-reply taps and free-text responses
  • Converted: purchases or goals attributed through your events or UTM parameters
  • Estimated cost per campaign: prepared with our team during onboarding — an estimate of WhatsApp charges, which Meta bills directly to your WhatsApp Business Account, plus CommLeap platform fees and non-WhatsApp channel usage, which CommLeap invoices separately

FAQ

WhatsApp marketing questions, answered

Can we send bulk WhatsApp messages?

Yes, to people who have opted in to hear from you, using message templates approved by Meta. CommLeap lets you send broadcasts to large segments with scheduling, throttling and personalization. Unsolicited bulk messaging is not permitted under WhatsApp's policies and can lead to your number's quality rating falling or messaging being restricted.

How do we collect WhatsApp opt-in?

Common opt-in points include website and app forms, a checkbox at checkout, and in-chat prompts, including in conversations that start from Click-to-WhatsApp ads or QR codes. We recommend that the opt-in makes clear the person will receive messages from your business on WhatsApp. You are responsible for collecting opt-in in a way that meets WhatsApp's policies and the laws that apply to your communications. CommLeap stores the source and timestamp of each opt-in against the contact.

How are opt-outs handled?

You can add a quick-reply button such as "Stop promotions" to marketing templates and define opt-out keywords. When a customer opts out, CommLeap updates their consent status and suppresses them from future marketing campaigns and journeys on that channel. Service conversations they start themselves are unaffected. WhatsApp's policy requires you to respect opt-out requests made on or off WhatsApp, so requests received through other channels should be recorded too.

Why might some marketing messages not be delivered?

Common reasons include invalid or inactive numbers, recipients who have blocked your business, and template quality issues. Meta may also limit how many marketing messages an individual receives from businesses over a period, so some messages may not be delivered even to opted-in customers. Relevant, well-targeted campaigns help protect deliverability.

What is the difference between a campaign and a journey?

A campaign is a one-off or scheduled send to a segment, such as a seasonal launch. A journey is an automated sequence that starts when a customer triggers an event, such as abandoning a cart or approaching a renewal date, and adapts with branches and delays based on what they do next. Automatic channel fallback is coming soon.

Can we fall back to SMS or email if WhatsApp is not available?

Automatic channel fallback is coming soon. Journeys and campaigns will be able to fall back to SMS, email or RCS (also coming soon) when a customer cannot be reached on WhatsApp. Each channel has its own consent and regulatory requirements, so fallback will apply only where you hold the relevant permission.

How much does a WhatsApp marketing campaign cost?

Meta charges for delivered marketing template messages at rates that vary by recipient country and bills WhatsApp messaging charges directly to your WhatsApp Business Account. CommLeap invoices its own platform fees and non-WhatsApp channel usage separately. CommLeap can show an estimate of WhatsApp charges before you send; Meta's billing is the authoritative record. Read WhatsApp API pricing explained or contact us for pricing.

Can we A/B test WhatsApp campaigns?

Yes. You can test template copy, media, offers and send times on a sample of your segment, compare results on the metrics you choose, then send the winning variant to the rest of the audience.
